What’s New
The Austin Junior Forum Teddy Bear Program is expanding its reach, distributing more Teddy Bears and Dalmatians to local safety agencies. We are proud to be the only organization supplying the Austin Fire Department, Austin Police Department, Austin EMS, and Travis County Sheriff’s Office with these comforting toys.

Mission Statement
Austin Junior Forum is a non-profit volunteer organization supporting women, children, and the elderly in Austin through community service and fundraising. Our Teddy Bear Program provides stuffed animals to local public safety agencies to give to those affected by traumatic events.

Needs Statement

  • $30 provides 5 cuddly friends to children in crisis.
  • $60 provides 10 cuddly friends to children in crisis.
  • $125 provides 20 cuddly friends to children in crisis.
  • $250 stocks an agency for a month with 40 bears or Dalmatians.
  • $1,000 stocks an agency for six months with 100 bears or Dalmatians.

Testimonials
Since 1984, Austin Junior Forum has supported the Teddy Bear Program, expanding its reach to more Central Texas Emergency Services. In the wake of COVID, the program now provides comfort to children, teens, and adults during traumatic events.

  • Per PULSE Magazine: The ATCEMA Teddy Bear Program has been revived, equipping ambulances and Command vehicles with bears to comfort children during emergencies.
  • Per City of Austin: First responders distribute bears to children during traumatic events, offering comfort in moments of fear.
  • EMS Crew Member: “I gave a teddy bear to a little girl who was scared after a car collision. She stopped crying immediately and hugged the bear.”
  • EMS Crew Member: “We gave bears to kids who had little under the tree, and their mother thanked us for the kindness.”
  • EMS Crew Member: “A little boy at Dell Children’s said his new teddy already made him feel better.”
