The Daniel H. Caswell House, located at the corner of West Avenue and 15th Street, is an excellent venue in downtown Austin for corporate and special events.  Whether you are planning a wedding, reception, business meeting, luncheon, fundraiser, or other event, hosting your event at the Daniel H. Caswell House is sure to impress your guests, colleagues, and clients.

Rental of the house includes use of the first and second floors, two kitchens, and three restrooms. The house is handicap accessible, and ample parking is available. For planning purposes, floor plans of the house are available. The Caswell House can also provide tables, chairs, bars, a podium, a public address system, and a projection screen for a nominal rental fee. If you choose to use our furnishings, we will set up the room before your event and return the rented items to storage after your event has ended.  

You are free to choose your own caterer and other service vendors. Please see our Preferred Vendors list to choose a caterer that is right for you. If you use one of our preferred caterers, you will receive an additional hour of rental free of charge and a $200 rebate of your rental payment after your event.

The Daniel H. Caswell House is owned and operated by the Austin Junior Forum, a women's non-profit volunteer organization, and all proceeds from the rental of the house go back into the community through AJF grants and community service projects. So, you can feel good about doing business with us.

Half-day rentals allow use of the house for five consecutive hours, which is the minimum amount of time scheduled for any reservation. A full-day rental on Saturday allows use of the house for 10 consecutive hours. Additional time may be reserved at the rate of $100 per hour, Sunday through Friday, or $200 per hour on Saturday.

A $200 cleaning deposit and $250 security deposit are required in addition to the rental fee to secure a date.  Both deposits are refundable within 30 days of the event date as long as the house is left in its original condition.

A $200 cleaning deposit and $350 security deposit are required in addition to the rental fee to secure a date during November or December. Both deposits are refundable within 30 days of the event date as long as the house is left in its original condition.

Payment Options:
Any event booked more than 120 days in advance is eligible for payment on an installment plan. The booking party is required to pay the full deposit and 50% of the rental fee at the time of signing the contract to reserve the date on the calendar. The second installment must be secured with a credit card. The card will automatically be billed for the balance on the first of the month prior to 120 days from the event. Any booking within 120 days of the event is ineligible for the payment plan. We accept MasterCard and Visa for house rental payments.

Cancellation Policy:
If an event is cancelled more than 120 days prior to the scheduled date, the deposit is forfeited but rental fees are returned. If an event is cancelled within 120 days of the event, all rental fees are forfeited but the deposits are returned.
